And those were just black and white telescreens. Just think of what a smart phone can do, along with addicting its 1user.

Great post.

Only missing current terms like “digital cameras” or “facial recognition” but point is still the same.

I resent growing up with that novel about a 1984 future, then living past 1984, then the actual future is true now. Or in January, 2021. Couldn’t the human race have learned enough to NOT do the worst things?
