Every year the United States gives Israel approximately $3 billion in military aid, with the caveat that it can only be used to buy American-made weapons.

In other words, we give Israel "store credit" and they use it to buy American jets, helicopters, tanks, missiles, and other weapons.

Apparently this year they want to use some of the credits to buy diesel and jet fuel for their military.
