'What can I do'? How white people can begin their anti-racism work

Regardless of color, going into the Mall for smokes - cutting through JC Penney's - not anymore) with a little old lady behind me, I'll stop and hold the door and as they pass I'll say "Nice day" unless its raining - usually its thank you young man - I'm 65 with a few grey hairs - still black ladies just go on by and her younger entourage say nothing.

Its attitude.

I'll still do it for almost anyone, ladies with kids and strollers, 'ol guys moving slow, etc. but simple politeness seems lacking in the black race. Attitude.
