Wait just a second....

I thought guns were (for all intents and purposes) illegal in NYC?

What’s going on De Blasio?

I was thinking more along the lines of “this small increase is normal and indeed expected.”

Hey, now if you don’t see a uniform, there are no cops anymore.

Idiots.

A good friend is retired plain clothes. NYPD. This unit has been around for over 50 years. (Serpico was plain clothes). He said he stopped more crime in progress or prevented crimes or actually solved crimes than any uniform could in his entire career. He also said people would state they always knew a cop was out there someplace and it made them feel safe. People were also more likely to give you information or report crime to a plain clothesman because you looked like everybody else and not a cop when talking on the street. He said you really got to know people and build relationships all over the city.

They could work anywhere in the city. They just had to report to the local precinct to let the commander know they were in the precinct that day.

One can only imagine what has been lost here just in the intelligence knowledge gathered on the street through human contact.

Maybe Trump should send back the USS Comfort to handle the gunshot and gang violence trauma.

Even though a cure is impossible, can they treat New York politicians' chronic anencephaly?

I imagine Mayor de Blasio [and Governor Cuomo] will have something to say about this.

I'm sure they already have said something - "Trump's fault."

And why is it Trump's fault? Because Orange Man Bad, he beat Hillary!, and..stuff..

“I feel like we are giving the streets back to the criminals,” Glasgow’s mom, Hazel Thomas, told The Post.

Well, Hazel, if you voted for De Blasio, then yes, you have given the streets back to the Democrat electorate.

"Bail Reform" serves one purpose; to release criminals with fines hanging over their head so that they'll leave the municipality and go somewhere else. Yes, they'll have warrants out on them but if they relocate far enough away from the issuing location, the issuing municipality won't pay to have them returned.

These Democrat liars continually sell the idea that "Bail Reform" is about fairness and justice when it's about the exact opposite; they're pushing their criminals into other jurisdictions.

Yes. Only criminals and police can have them.

Disarm law abiding citizens. Defund and remove the police. What could go wrong?
