These days you’d have to wonder if you could find legal representation.

I could not find legal representation when I was falsely arrested, and I have beaten the high octane lawyers in the state, such that I am going to trial in a couple of months, having survived motions for dismissal and summary judgment, where they tried the qualified immunity schtick. It's not easy, but the internet is a great tool for legal research. I know the addage about having a fool for a client, but, nobody else would do it, and after initially rejecting requests for mediation and settlement, they've come crawling on thier knees for settlement discussions. It can still happen in this country.
