I read recently that even what they’re testing for is suspect. I would not be surprised to find out if whomever approved of the “tests” went with whatever would produce the largest percentage of positives.

There were dozens of attempts to produce a test. They're evaluated in terms of sensitivity and specificity. Multiple tests have been used. That's why you might get two different tests.

A test is just a test. They're not perfect.
