I spent 25 years hauling people with serious communicable respiratory ailments in the back of small rescue enclosed rigs to the hospital.

Were those people screened and given face masks to wear in route?

A homemade “mask” made from a piece of T-shirt fabric is basically a completely worthless piece of feel good nonsense

Straw-man assertion...enjoy the bonfire.

No, they were not “screened” on the way to the hospital, but we did our best to collect information about their situation, medical history and condition that were noted on reports that we gave to the hospital staff.

Most people who are having difficulty breathing will not tolerate a filter mask, but we did give many O2 masks that we could give albuterol treatments and other medications with.

There is nothing “straw man” about the assertion that the homemade masks are basically worthless... there is no evidence other than the types of parlor tricks that you provided that they do any good. And they do cause difficulties for some individuals.
