The reason they won't work is because the government pays them enough to sit at home on their butts and live a comfortable existence. There shouldn't be an option to choose not to work and still have the welfare state support you.

I really don't understand how we got to the point where someone can simply refuse to get a job and we as a people say "that's OK, here's money and a free iphone'. It boggles the mind that it's considered OK to refuse work and the rest of the country is supposed to contribute the fruits of THEIR labors to support them.

Not only because it is unfair for those who have to pay, it’s now unmistakably clear that not working and being productive is thoroughly de-humanizing. It’s like being an over-indulgent parent and raising a spoiled and incompetent child.

This. I agree with the liberals but it’s because they get paid not to work. Easier to sit on your ass and receive money than get up every day and go earn it.

Wages have been stagnant for 30 years because the right and the left wing has shipped jobs overseas and imported scab labor.
