FA takes another shot at their favorite bogeyman, Russia. An interesting take and well written.

Well-written article.

Is our decline and fall inevitable? We have "leaders" like Pelosi and wannabe leaders like Sanders and Biden demanding that President Trump "tear down that wall!". If Biden wins, more than the border wall with Mexico will fall - our institutions will all burn, sooner than anyone thinks.

“The New York Times set aside three pages for an essay by Sakharov...They would have to learn to live together, leveling out national distinctions and taking steps toward planetwide governance.”

I guess the second half of the above explains why the NY Times would allow a story to be written by someone critical of Communism.

“These crackdowns were likely to be especially brutal, he argued, when the suppressors—police or internal security troops—were “of a nationality other than that of the population that is rioting,” which would in turn “sharpen enmities among the nationalities.” “

This is DEFINITELY something to worry about here. The people who intend to oppress our side are NOT our neighbors, who likely could never do that - it is people from other cultures, who have been brainwashed to hate us. Even if you have friendly police and local government, they’ll be quickly replaced by those willing to carry out those types of orders (and there is no shortage of them, as we’ve seen for the past month).

...and yet there are still people ON THIS SITE that are willing to hand the keys of the country to Biden/Sheumer/Pelosi to get this process started, and all because they didn’t like the wayRoberts ruled on abortion.

“Within three decades, one of its successors, Russia, had even reconstituted itself as a great power with the ability to do something the Soviets never managed: to understand and exploit the principal social divisions of its rivals, from the United States to the United Kingdom, with significant political and strategic effect.”

I guess he never heard of the ‘anti-war’ protests in the 1960s through the ‘anti-nuke’ protests in the 1980s. It’s NOT a secret anymore as to who was funding it and getting a great bang for their buck...it all came out in the 1990s, just after the Soviet Union collapsed.

This is eerie- and we learn again about cycles. Usually we are able to view them from a far point across our ponds, but this time we are in the midst of it. It’s real and it’s happening.

Excellent piece- thank you for posting.

An exec summary:

“A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city.

But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.

For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.

He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. The traitor is the plague.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero might possibly, maybe, could have said this?
The quote is from a fictional biography of Circeo,’A PILLAR OF IRON” By Taylor Caldwell.
