Yep, maybe I’ll just watch Cricket.


I can recommend Premiership Pro Rugby from England if they ever start it up again. It’s enough like football to keep your interest—except the players are wearing soccer uniforms instead of armor. I’ve seen no kneeling for anthems (although to be honest they do have ‘rainbow’ games). The game is pretty much continuous and like football of old players play both offense and defense.

Cricket I kind of enjoy. Baseball is considered in England a child’s version of it. Some games can go for days, but there is a version 20/20 that takes about 2-3 hours to complete a game. The best way I can describe it, the bowler (pitcher) can take a running start before delivering the pitch, and all pitches are bouncers in the dirt. The batter hits until he’s out.

Oh I’m familiar with the different kinds of Cricket. And I will say, it takes a lot more skill to be a good Cricket batsman than a baseball hitter. A good batsman, literally has to be able to go an hour and a half without making a single mistake if he is to get a “Century” (100 runs)
