To: Red in Blue PA

I noticed a local Walmart has the Savage Axis in 30-06 for $175. I am tempted to spend some of my virus money but am not familiar with it other than it appears to be a 110 action.

Axis and 110 look very similar but the receivers and pitch of the barrel nuts are different. If you are looking to swap barrels with savage prefits the Axis will not accept 110 prefits. Something to think about that’s why the Axis models are under $200 and the 110s are double that. I have three 110s 300WM, 270 wt 1:7 fast twist and 7RM 1:8 all in 26” pacnor with M24 contours the adjustable trigger on the 110FV action is like butter.
