Kind of hard to compost in an apartment.
Actually there is a way. Our son and daughter-in-law composted in a Philly townhouse by using a worm bin. If cared for properly, it is also an efficient way to compost organic matter. The worm castings can be sold or given to relatives who garden. :-)
