Two year ago? How the hell did people not see that he was a problem 10 years ago? Only by drinking the kool-aid,and not looking at them with eyes wide open, that's how. It's sort of like the Wounded Warriors issue where veterans were the marketing tool to raise money that they never saw because it went into salaries and perks.
How about closer to 25 years ago?
The NRA worked because of volunteer efforts. I used to spend one weekend a month at a local gun range providing free NRA firearms training. Then a fellow named Neil Knox (it you don't know who he was,look him up.) started asking questions about where the money was going. Next thing you know, Wayne starts a war to make sure Neil doesn't become President and ultimately leave tbe organization.
As a life member, I'm not quitting - but I don't do much else but read about them. Neil Knox was one of the strongest defenders of the Second Amendment that we have ever had. LaPierre wasn't fit to lick his boots.
