LOUISVILLE, Ky. Mayor Greg Fischer is issuing an apology, after protesters were left scrambling to salvage belongings removed from Jefferson Square Park overnight Saturday.

The mayor addressed the incident on Twitter after seeing photos and videos of people picking up what was left of their belongings.
The treatment of their personal property was not acceptable and not our intent. I apologize for the miscommunication between our Public Works crews, Fischer said.
The Department of Public Works also issued an apology for the poor treatment of protesters belongings saying, an error in communication and judgement took place, and for this we are deeply sorry.
This comes nearly 24 hours after city officials decided to prohibit camping in Jefferson Square Park after Steven Lopez opened fire into a crowd of demonstrators, killing 27-year-old photographer Tyler Gertz.
Louisville Metro Police along with Metro Public Works began dismantling the protest encampment.
Mayor Fischer said the city now has a process in place for those to file a claim for lost or damaged items.

The mayor is on their side.
As are all the Dem mayors and guvs where this attempted national overthrow is taking root.

They should have scooped up the “protestors” along with their “belongings” and deposited the whole shooting match into the dump.
The voters elected this. Will they re-elect it?
All their stuff should have been confiscated and a burned, most of it probably has lice and fleas and other pestilence that is a danger to public health.
