sounds an awful lot like, “You might shoot someone, so you don’t need that gun.”

Do you use that every thread? Taking away someone's 2nd amendment rights is not the same as mandating a mask. Not in the same ballpark.

Do you use that every thread?

Why yes I do, because people need to be informed. The logic is exactly the same, even if topics are different.

The American people have been lied to in an almost criminal manner regarding masks and infection. I've got over a decade of practical experience dealing with N-95 masks, fit testing at a large LVL 1 trauma hospital, and actually wearing masks where bacterial and viral concerns are present and my health were at risk.

1) If you are not wearing and N-95 mask, or higher, you might as well be breathing through a chain link fence. Surgical masks, cloth masks, bandanas, gaiters and the likes can help defend against bacteria, but do nothing for virusii. This is because bacteria and larger by magnitudes than virusii, which will pass right through cloth masks and such

2) Even if you are wearing an N-95 mask, if you don't have sealed eye pro, or a full face mask, you are at just as much risk from contracting a virus, because virusii can enter through ANY mucus membrane, not just your mouth or nose.

3) If you have a mask and proper eye-pro, but are not wearing and changing gloves after every interaction, you are still at risk. All you are doing is transferring the virus around to different surfaces. Going out all day and sanitizing your hands when you get home is like shutting the barn door after the horses are gone. You've already contaminated your environment. 4) Even the government can't get it straight. Fauci, and the "everybody wear masks" crew, to almost a man, stand in front of the public saying "you must wear a mask", through masks that even the the OSHA website states will not work against virusii.

5) Numerous public health officials refused to condemn the protests. AS one of them said, "... public health risks of not protesting to demand an end to systemic racism greatly exceed the harms of the virus." That's not the comment that comes from a community that is truly worried about public health risks caused by the China virus. If it were about health, those 5 points would not be true. Sadly they are. Just like gun control isn't about guns, the push for virus control from certain sectors is not about stopping the spread of the China virus.
