Any place that bans speaking the truth is evil.
Everyone believes they have the truth, including low-life snowflakes and anti-Fa. And everyone believes that anyone who opposes their version of what the truth is is evil. This is the mideival concept of evil. We stand for all that’s right and good, and all those who oppose us oppose rightness and goodness. The Crusaders believed that, and so did the Saracens on the other side. But the Crusades were a healthy prelude to the Rennaisance, because Richard and Louis after him met Salladin and found themselves respecting him despite their differences in belief. He had a sense of honor and was generous to vanquished foes.
At any rate, I digress. To our enemies, Free Republic restricts access to conservatives and zots trolls. We’re up front and honest about it, but to their mideival mindset that makes us evil. We are opposing their truth. They are merely censoring lies. JS Mills in On Liberty proves that people who wish to suppress opposing points of view believe themselves infallible, and as a result of never having their narratives challenged freely become intellectually flabby and are unable to refute opposing arguments and are easily defeated in open debate.
Free Republic is not the forum for such open debate, but rather a place where barfalicious news and opinions are taken apart and ridiculed, for the purpose of doing so later in open debate with their authors or adherents, however that works. Their unwillingness to ever have such debates in any forum under any terms, and instead resorting to name-calling and ad hominem is their weakness, caused by their psychotic snow-globe perception of reality. Evil? Maybe. Some of them knowingly at least. But it’s their loss either way.
