Protesters blamed for the violence that broke out in Oklahoma City the last weekend in May were charged Friday with terrorism, rioting and assault.

If convicted of the felony offenses, they could be sentenced to years in prison.

Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater made the decisions himself on the charges in a get-tough approach meant to deter others from going too far during protests in the future.

"This is not Seattle," Prater said Friday. "We're not putting up with this lawlessness here."

His attorney, David McKenzie, said Friday that Davis is a good kid who smacked a window but did not break it. The attorney said Davis should not face an unconstitutional terrorism charge over this actions.

You're going to have to try harder counselor.

The attorney also called it ironic that Davis was charged with terrorism when his father died in the attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

No, harder than that!

How many of these little dears are actually tax-paying citizens of OKC?

Why aren’t citizens raising hell about the damage and resulting interruptions, not to mention the fact that taxes will be raised?

Good. Their actions meet the legal and dictionary definitions of terrorism. I’d like to see all terrorists locked up for life without parole, and I don’t care what cause the thugs claim to support.

I am told by citizens of Norman, Oklahoma that many of the protesters at the city council meeting were paid $25.00 an hour and bused in to raise hell. On their agenda is to oust the mayor among other things.

This is what all the "illegal" fireworks are all about across the country.

BLM and Antifa have been doing this since Ferguson.

That one we saw there would have killed someone.

These are deadly weapons so treat them accordingly.

It was peaceful until it wasn't.

Japan peacefully protested US foreign policy...until Pearl Harbor.

Oklahoma City vs. Seattle. One of these things is not like the other. Oh yeah, Oklahoma City is a Republican city.
