Amazing how quickly a story fueled by un-named sources gains legs and is already the subject of Ads within hours. This is aimed directly at DJT’s base. The Pentagon and a host of high level Intel officials do not want to see this President re-elected.

Why is anyone surprised? Russians have been involved in all kinds of alliances against the US. If Russia can ally with Shiite Islamists in Iran, it can ally with Sunni Islamists in Afghanistan. Note that we are currently allied with anti-Taliban Islamists in Afghanistan, just as we allied with anti-Soviet Islamists during the Soviet occupation. Some of those Islamists later formed the Taliban to fight against other Islamists like Ahmad Shah Massoud, whose Northern Alliance faction we brought to power after 9/11.

Well-does anyone care 1) why they didn’t tell Trump? 2) how far up the food chain this went before the Intel didn’t get to Trump? 3) what is Trump going to do about them NOT telling him? And 4) what’s he going to do in response to Russia? Those are all pretty important questions.
The whole problem with the claim is that killing coalition forces has always been the Taliban’s job description from the get-go. It’s not as if they really need any cheerleaders to encourage them.
