You seem to use a lot of words and yet say nothing. Someone suggests a song in a post, and you go on with soliloquies about martial dysfunction! As for you observations about us folks on Free Republic, we are a good bunch of folks, so if you find us offensive you are free to leave or perhaps post meaningful information.

If you disagree with me, say so in a civil manner ... or simply refrain from commenting at all.

As a rule, when I see a post that annoys me, I hold my fire. This happens multiple times each day.

On the other hand, when I’m personally attacked for something I’ve written, I counter punch ... just like our great president.

I absolutely refuse to let myself be insulted. That’s a hard lesson I wish I had learned much earlier in life. Any man who’s willing to put up with verbal abuse is less than a man — especially in an online forum where crude bullies can cloak themselves with anonymity.

And as for FReepers being a “good bunch of folks,” I’ve seen enough rudeness on these threads to cause me to doubt your assertion.

On a lot of threads, this supposedly intelligent dialogue between conservatives degenerates into exchanges of name calling. This seems to have become particularly bad since the Wu flu hit these shores.

I can think of a number of threads where I was tempted to post something like “G-D every last one of you for a bunch of opinionated, semi-literate goons.”

But as a thinking man who at least has some control over his emotions, I would never do this.
