Trump seems to be taking the approach of letting the Left go too far and then pay for it electorally. I’m not sure if that will work in the current situation.

It isn't just letting the left go too far. They already have and everyone knows it. It's showing that he can stop it.
Agree. Needs to start acting presidential and nix the cutesy phrases like “sleepy Joe.” Much too casual. Does not show enough respect for the people who have had their stores burned by the rioters. Better that he tie the Democrats and Biden directly to the rioters and call them out as the Communists that they are. And start talking and looking like he will do something about it in spite of the blue state governors and mayors. They are making him look like a fool, imho.
