The city charter says that the city has to have the police force. They are now going to have to try and get it on the ballot to change the city charter. Last night they interviewed several people on the streets of Minneapolis, and none of them supported the idea. Matter of fact, all the blacks they interviewed said that Minneapolis needed MORE POLICE. I predict that the overwhelming majority will vote against abolishing the police. The City Council will then just start cutting the police budget which means that there will be less money to pay cops, which equeals, less cops. They will further restrict the cops from actually doing their job of enforcing laws. But, you can be sure that all the members of the City Council will have security details to protect them, their families, and their homes and offices.

That is just a feel good for the idiots. Even if they do amend the City Charter, and abolish the Police Department, the County or the State would police it[the City] This was only to placate the idiots and get their votes.
