A Columbus, Miss., pastor, who is white, was allegedly given the boot by his former church for supporting protests and the idea that "black lives matter" after George Floyd's police-related death, The Christian Post reports.
After three and a half years leading The Heights Church, Bishop Scott Volland and his wife, Debra, were voted out by the church's board on June 18 because of differing views on addressing racial issues.
"Whether it is saying that 'black lives matter' (as a human fact), or in speaking out to remove racially offensive/insensitive monuments or politicians, I have been informed that my 'agenda will not work at this church,' and that I 'dont speak for the church,'" Volland shared on Facebook the next day.

The fact that he referred to himself as Bishop and his wife as Lady would have been enough for me to show no interest in his church.
“Volland started a new church for all people “
A pastor should not split up a church. He should move to another area and then start a church.
I guess "The Peoples Temple" was already taken.
Black Lives Matter*
*unless you’re a black unborn baby, black police officer, black business owner, black military member, or black conservative.
All too often the most liberal person in a church is it’s pastor.
Perhaps the church realized they had a wolf in sheeps clothing in their midst. I would condemn racism in my church and demand it stand against it, thats doing the right thing. But BLM is a God hating Marxist organization and I would have stood on the floor and called him out for it. Most churches wont make public statements about internal matters but this time I would issue a statement and make it perfectly clear why we parted ways. Calling your congregation racist because its socially hip without evidence? Did you go to the alleged racist in your midst and take witnesses as the Bible calls for? Bet you didnt. You pushing your own white guilt aint going to fly comrade pastor person.
Human Lives Matter, except at Planned Parenthood.
A Donation was made to the Human Fund in your name.
Good for the members of the church. Racists like that pastor should be kicked out.

Yep. I have known, but never wasted time in their church, a few such “pastors.” Praise God for true, Bible-believing churches that won’t tolerate these wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Of course, he is unable to articulate why his approach offends the very peo0le he had no problem with receiving their money.
“Tolerance is the virtue of the man without convictions.” - Gilbert K. Chesterton
Oh, and God is extremely intolerant. That’s why there is a hell.
Was he supporting the idea of “black lives matter”, or the idea of “Black Lives Matter” in capital letters? Those are two very different things. The latter is completely at odds with Christian teaching - eliminating the 2 parent family as a matter of policy and having children raised on communes without a sense of real family? The radical LGBTQIA agenda? Marxism?
