They didn't really cover his eyes, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to see. What they covered was the area around his eyes.

I have to wear some sort of mask at work. I am at a security guard at a shipyard that has a USCG contract so USCG's determinations rule. Everybody has to wear a mask and "observe social distancing." It is largely outdoor work and the welders and shipfitters and painters et al tend to wear them around their necks when at work and they don't maintain their "social distance" either as many of them are of necessity working on top of each other and some in tight enclosed spaces with electrodes and torches. We have had no virus cases at all save one who was a new hire who came here from another state. He probably worked at least several days before he felt sick and called out and got tested the next day. No one on the yard got it from him.

I have talked to many of the guys and strongly suspect that most of us had a milder form of Wuhan in early March for which no one went to the emergency room and only one or two went to the doctor. I am betting the whole crew is beneficiary of "herd immunity." I know that I had it then along with all my family and because I didn't suspect then, I kept working without a break. SIL recently got tested for his job and is positive for antibodies. That means that the discomfort and coughs and headaches we all felt were likely Wuhan.
