An overwhelming majority of Americans say they've worn a face mask in public in the last week, as the coronavirus pandemic persists and infections reach new highs in more than a dozen states, a new ABC News/Ipsos poll finds.
Nearly nine in 10 Americans (89%) who left their home in the last week said they wore a face mask or a face covering, compared to only 11% who said they did not.

btw, if it were a real concern, cloth and open side masks would be worthless. you’d need N95 plus eye coverings to insure you wouldn’t be exposed. wake up
Our Governor Inslee ordered everyone to wear masks indoors as well as outdoors. As summer continues, temperatures will get hotter and you will think you are living inside a sauna. When you are walking or exercising outdoors, you are breathing harder and any virus laden droplets will be forced out through the edges of the mask. What protection from the mask will be minimal. Hopefully, the increased temperatures will kill the virus before it can infect someone.

Nobody stateside was wearing anything. Then we transferred to an Asian flight, and about 25-40 % were wearing a mask.
Last flight was flying into the country. Almost everyone had a mask on, and everyone when we arrived here.

The tactic of the anti-vaxers is to use fear to promote their idea that all vaccinations are evil. An anti-COVID vaccine would end the social engineering tactics of the socialists. I think the anti-vax movement is being promoted by these social control socialists. If they generate enough fear to discourage taking the one course to eliminate the virus, they will have won. When I hear that the anti-vax fear mongering has caused a reemergence of measles, it makes me furious.
I’m with you. I was at Walmart tonight and maybe 50-60% were wearing masks.
So no doctors or nurses have been infected or died from Covid?
I have but only because I was traveling and NEEDED gas and after them pump refused my credit cards and I had to go in and pay cash, and the snot behind the counter that was secured like Fort Knox, would not serve me until I put it on.
I’m getting pretty sick of all this.
And they still haven’t decided if the masks actually work or whether they do more harm than good.
And I still see people alone OUTSIDE or alone in their cars, wearing a mask.

B.S! We are breathing petrochemically derived constituents all the time! Our clothes are made up of them. Our bedding is made up of them. Detergents are a petroleum based product.
The Chicoms want to spread this misinformation so our plague will continue to take us down economically.
Most of the places I go, the employees are the ones NOT wearing them.
I’m calling BS. When I went grocery shopping last week maybe 25 or 30 percent were wearing a mask. At the barber shop today, nobody was wearing a mask.
You are using the composition fallacy to assume that if a few people are driving in their cars wearing a mask that everyone who wears a mask is an idiot. Not! Nice try!
You have given yourself a pretty good description of what a fool would do. Why not stay home and spare yourself the trouble?

I hate to imagine what’s in the works next, but intend on being as ready for it as possible.
Masks then don't mean anything more than wearing them for a flu virus in the past, may or may not have helped, but so what ? We never cared before, we just took our chances and at least we were not forced to dress as muslim property or debate what weave of burka looks best on us,.. just stop.
I refuse to live in fear. I also don’t care to breathe my CO2.
