I think they also lay claim to Devil’s Tower as some type of spiritual place. Don’t remember exactly what it was but when we visited there, they had hung all kinds of cloth buns from certain trees...kinda weird.

If my history is correct, the Sioux tribe was kicked out of the Northeast by other tribes and emigrated to the SD region.
