Avr beer is 5% equivalent to .6oz hard liquor. I doubt most alcoholics are beer drinkers.
Bass ale is 5.1%. Bass draft is 4.4% similar to Coors lite at 4.2%. I have drunk a lot of coors lite and a lot of Bass ale. There is very little difference in the effect. Some of the new craft ales in the 6.5 and plus range will give you a buzz.
