It says 27% of ICU beds a being occupied with someone who tested positive for covid. It does NOT say that the reason they are in the ICU is because of covid. Hospitals are testing every single intake for covid so many just have it without symptoms...and likely even in the ICU.

I would bet that each of those cities had large protests 3-4 weeks ago, and that the protesters did not go get tested as requested.

These jackasses can’t write a cogent article for shit.

Totally-worthless information, suitable only for fomenting fear & panic.

I am pretty sure New York is lying about their current numbers, although it could also be that they already killed their old people, and infected all the people in the city.

On the other hand, we know they are refusing to do contact tracing on protests, and it is becoming clear that a wave of protests 3-4 weeks ago has driven a huge spike in the numbers in cities around the country.

And they’ll just ignore how NY and other blue areas allowed their hospitals and nursing homes get overrun by COVID.

Wasn’t just protestors and rioters. A lot of folks just don’t take it seriously enough and still flood the stores, parks, etc.

The virus. Hospitals haven’t yet opened up elective surgeries.

In Houston, the Texas Children’s Hospital has had to open beds to take in adult virus cases.

New York leads the country in hospitalizations and deaths overall. No one else comes close. One third of the cases at the height of the pandemic were in the greater New York City area. The economy has been crushed there. Nearly half a million people moved out of the city.

Austin’s head health guy, Dr. Eric something, said Travis Co. may have to be closed again if things don’t turn around immediately. They had been averaging about 70 cases per day but the past two weeks have jumped and on Sunday had over 500 new cases.

In other words, 1 in 4 are cv cases. Doesn’t matter if they came in with a high fever and difficulty breathing, if they have the virus, then they have the virus.

Governor Abbott has been one of the most aggressive reopeners among the governors. For him to pause Texas’ reopening is serious.

The other counties must be making up for it in their drops. Was yours particularly crowded with people being exposed compared to the others.

Ok, fine. Nothing to see. Move along. Everyone in the hospitals only have hang nails so quick 1 hour turn arounds on bed space. Plenty of beds this week, next week, next month. Don’t worry, be happy.

Weren’t we all told that heat and humidity kills Covid rapidly? Sick of conflicting stories.
