Beware: The Woke Mob Is Targeting You Next, The Suburbs And Small-Town America; The Big Cities Are Just The First Step

Woke mobs are coming for you if you are an elected official with conservative values. In cities and towns all across America, organized and well-funded protest groups have begun attacking city councilors, mayors, county commissioners, and members of school boards. It’s not just the big cities. Increasingly, small towns have faced similar harassment. The woke mob has targeted local elected officials for the sin of not being sufficiently woke. Its goal appears to be to intimidate conservatives from getting involved at any level of government. It also appears that the mob efforts are expanding faster than anyone realizes.

Here in Oregon, the small, rural, conservative-leaning towns of Estacada and Mollala have recently seen elected officials threatened with recall. In Oregon City, a medium-sized city south of Portland, a protest group has organized a recall against the mayor. The suburb of Gresham saw resignations from its mayor, city manager, and chief of police. And in Salem, the state’s capital, several school board members have been targeted for destruction.

This trend is growing and expanding and it appears to be the work of well-funded progressive groups on the local level with ties to large national non-profits pushing a radical agenda.

In Estacada, Mayor Sean Drinkwine was forced to apologize after he posted in a Facebook group, “I would not and have not condoned these BLM Vigils in our community. All city staff and I are working tirelessly to shut these Vigils down … Our number one concern is to keep our city safe and free from conflict.”

Disagreeing with the Marxist goals of BLM and opposing looting and violence will get you in trouble no matter how small your town is.

I’m calling BS. Look at how Coeur d’Alene stood up to the fascists. Come to small town America and you’ll have entire towns turn out, armed to the hilt. These urban thugs will be totally out of their element in rural America. And they’ll stand out like a sore thumb. They won’t stand a chance.

My fear...Trump loses and we descend into chaos, Biden will just do what the mob says. Or, Trump wins and the mob descends into a “tear the country down” tantrum.

The Left always keeps going until they go too far - and then they are handed a huge defeat by the vast majority of people who understand that the Left is crazy. They have already gone too far with the burning of cities and pulling down statues, and if they continue then the defeat in November will be epic. If they react badly to that, then lots of people are going to react in a way that does not include much talking.

People can and do disagree, often quite vociferously. That’s OK, so long as they abide by election results that they don’t like. Once one side stops respecting election results, you no longer have a country, you have a civil war. Note that for Dems, the last 2 Republican Presidents were illegitimate - see the trend?

When push comes to shove, many of these mouthy women will get a mouth full of rifle butt - and they’ll well deserve it, for having contributed to this state of affairs. This is what happens when you let children be spoiled and whiney, they continue doing that as an adult.

If they succeed in the suburbs and small towns of Oregon, why would they not be emboldened to continue in nearby Washington and California and so on and so forth?

That time is fast approaching. At some point a mayor, council and police chief has to say NO to these animals and make it stick. It will be nasty and violence is going to happen at that point the difference will be the leftist violence will be replied too by cops and eventually conservative, for lack of a better word, Minutemen. Citizens who will have to be called on to help their local police department and sheriff department.

After the riots started a protest happened in our little town of 10k people. My brother and I stood ready at my elderly Dads business with an AR15 and an AK-47. We had security cameras and watched the event on Facebook real-time so we knew what was coming if it went bad. I said will do what we have to do to defend the business of 60+ years and Mom said what does that mean? I said any one breaking in and trying to loot will be shot dead, anymore trying to burn it will be shot dead. We don’t want to do this but we won’t hesitate to do it. We didn’t watch you two work 60 years, 6 days a week, 8-10-15 hr days to have it burned to the ground by a pack of animals. Moms mouth fell open and Dad said it has to be done. Thankfully it went peacefully and we quietly loaded up our rifles and pistols unnoticed and went home after it was over. Vigilance of freedom must by eternal.

Here's the thing - it was a very bright young black lady trying to play things as if she was a disadvantaged person from Detroit that was trying to get her baby back. Now I'm sure that's a pretty common canned speech as it closely matches a magazine sales guy's story I met in the 90’s. However, she was bright. capable of understanding my witty remarks and giving them back without pause. Trust me, it's kind of rare. Not that I'm brilliant, but I definitely think differently.
It could be paranoia, but I'm pretty sure the discussion took such paths that, if she was scouting, they'll go to the next neighborhood.
