Exactly. Since when do grand children get half the inheritance from grand parents? It always goes to the direct children, not grand children.

Did she inherit anything from her father when he died in 1981? If she sign a NDA I'd assume she was given more than the $200,00 that was in the will

Her house in Nassau County is worth about a million. Add that to her 2 million dollar beach house and she owns over 3 million in real estate.

She's got money coming in from somewhere.

My grandmother left 50% to each of her two sons. Each 50% was split among the children of the sons in case of their death before hers. My Father died 3 months before my Grandmother. My sister and I both got 25% of Grandmother’s inheritance.

Wills almost always provide for per stirpes distributions to children. That means if any child is not alive at the time of death of the person signing the will the portion that would have gone to the deceased child gets split between the children of the deceased child.

For some reason, Fred Sr. cut Fred Jr.'s kids out of the will by saying his estate would go only to his living children. Again that is unusual, but it's not unheard of. Maybe he cut them out because they were brats and alcoholics? Her behavior here would certainly suggest that about her.

That said, the only issue is whether the non-disclosure agreement prevents her from publishing book. If such an agreement exists, she will be bound by it and will be prevented from publishing. There is no First Amendment issue here regardless of what her sleazy attorney says.

Maybe it depends on the state where the will is written. My sister has her children and her grandchildren as “line items” on their will.
