The rest of her career will be in the woke cesspit like this event. They both deserve each other. I was never a fan but I feel sorry for those who were and feel betrayed. Nothing new as idols have been crashing down since for ever.
I was never an actual fan, but a lot of my little-girl guitar students were, back in the day. I loved teaching her (older) songs to the little girls because most of them were only four chords and not hard to sing. That gave the little girls a very quick dose of empowerment, achievement, and self-esteem.
I also used to like the fact that she controlled her own money, songwriting credits, management, and publishing. She used to be a hero for little girls because she was independent of the “Starmaking Machinery” that Joni Mitchell lamented in her songs.
Now, she’s just another sell-out.
