People say stuff like that nowadays to make themselves look hip. And I am sure he took it. But this idea that Roger took a lot of LSD is more myth than fact. In fact the whole band with the exception of Syd did not take as much LSD as commonly believed. Rick took a lot of cocaine and had some issues.
My comments are based on an old interview of David Gilmour from the early to mid 70s. FWIW but could be more accurate than what Roger says.
Roger has always been dismissive of the band’s 1960s efforts so perhaps he was using that as an excuse to dodge having to give much detail.
