A good friend of mine is a small business owner. When he contacted his bank after being slammed by COVID, they immediately offered 3 months of deferred payments. No questions asked, no penalty, no credit report hit. But those who just blow it off rather than contacting their bank will likely take a hit. Right now is not a good time to have bad credit.
