I serve in my church’s prison ministry. The chaplain at the facility where I go has made me aware of a group who meets in his chapel called the black Israelites. If you do a little research that may answer your question...at least in part. And yes...bigotry would be the word.
For the same reason they believe Cleopatra was black. Wishful thinking.
