I doubt he’s alone in his opinion. The number of Trump’s people who *don’t* think he’s an idiot might occupy a phone booth. That’s not the issue. The issue is people who let their egos get in the way of big picture considerations. That would be Bolton right now. What aspect of a Biden administration would be better than Trump, from Bolton’s perspective? This is unalloyed personality conflict grudge match being played out in the tabloids. It’s as if Bolton’s mid-life crisis had a much delayed onset.

I get that he was annoyed about Trump’s failure to launch significant airstrikes against Iran. Well - Biden will hand the Middle East over to Iran. Mark my words - if Biden wins the election, Iran will launch a pincer attack from Iraq and Yemen and unify the oil-producing Gulf states under its rule, with no reaction other than stern words from a Biden administration.
