It’s beyond school board elections now.
It’s all the teachers who have been innoculated with this.
And all the textbooks.
Schools are state & county controlled. The Department of Education is primarily a clearing house for money to the schools. All this is legislated so pretty much fenced off from executive control. You’d be amazed how little discretionary control the executive has on spending. It used to be that a President\executive branch could impound funds. That is not spend allocated funds. Impoundment is an act by a President of the United States of not spending money that has been appropriated by the U.S. Congress. Thomas Jefferson was the first president to exercise the power of impoundment in 1801. The power was available to all presidents up to and including Richard Nixon, and was regarded as a power inherent to the office. The Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974 was passed in response to perceived abuse of the power under President Nixon. And that’s about the time USG spending went out of control and now it was rare we had a real budget (Real budget not Continuing. Resolutions !) with a real meaningful fiscal year, etc.
Don’t blame DeVoss she has what she has. It will either take legislation or a miraculous USSC decision to restore that power to the executive\President.
True. I figured it was nibbling round the edges, but at least I won’t be supporting the Leftist Teachers’ Union candidates.
They’re all leftists now for the most part.
And even IF your school board somehow ‘went right’, the teachers would do what they wanted regardless.
There is no saving public schools at this point.
Colleges either.
Home school and trade school are ‘it’ until we can take them back.
Ah, but my taxes still pay for these indoctrination camps, so I must do what I can. FWIW, if I had children, they would go nowhere near these institutions.
“If you want me to pay for your college, you can pick Hillsdale or Grove City, Son.”
And if there are any referenda to lower my property taxes, I will vote yes on them, too. :-)
Oh absolutely defund them.
Seems like it.
Why?
A lot KNOW what's going on; but they fail to DO anything about it!
Aye; there's the rub!
No such thing exists; as they are all TAXPAYER schools.
(See how changing the LABEL changes EVERYTHING?? LOL)
