You don’t need a ticket or a bar code. It’s first come first serve. The tickets are just to have an idea of how well the rally will be attended and increase Trump’s data base. The metal detector showed 12 K scanned. I think there were more because the people on the floor account for a lot of empty seats.
Oh yeah and the Biden event had 4 chairs, two of which were empty.
The last time we went to an actual Trump rally was on 2/2/16 in Milton, New Hampshire. I thought I had to turn in my ticket (printed page from Eventbrite or similar site) at the door. That was of course 4 years ago, so things may have changed.
I've read several articles that said 6,200 were scanned through the metal detectors, but -- I think the number probably was around 12,000, based on what it looked like on TV. I don't know why this 6,200 number keeps coming up.
