There are some folks that don’t even need a “semi-auto”.
Such folks can place a shot inside the area of a golf ball at over 1000 yards away. Some even better than that. The perp would never even hear the shot that killed em because they would be dead on the ground before the sound even got there. IMHO, that is much better strategy than the “spray & pray” approach.

Yes it is. And there is a need to get close enough to make it effective such as for suppression. I'd prefer to shoot at them from 1,000 yards. I have a lot of 6.5 Creedmore handloads ready to go.
