You are likely correct. The huge numbers of requests should have prompted Trump’s campaign to become suspicious. Instead they touted the numbers and built an overflow stage that went unused. Fell for it hook, line and sinker.
Hopefully they’ve learned from this and will be better prepared for the next dirty trick attack.
Don’t believe the AOC assertion about tricking the Trump campaign. Each request for a ticket must include an email address and a phone number. You can’t download a ticket without it.
