Can't be due to CO/MI legalization, because it's legal in CA too.

Colorado has gained population rapidly since the 70’s when it really caught on with Texans. The popularity has spread since those days. It’s popular with the second home crowd too.

Bloomberg just bought a ranch on the western slope. $46mm.
