Hundreds of left-wing celebrity figures, including actress Gabrielle Union and Comedy Central late-night host Trevor Noah, signed onto a statement from the Black Artists for Freedom — “a collective of black workers in the culture industries” — demanding the abolition of police and “the complete dismantling of the racist prison-industrial system” as a means to end America’s “racist culture.”
“The fact is plain: Black people are still not free,” the statement, titled “Our Juneteenth” reads. “Day after day, generation upon generation, we are threatened, brutalized, and murdered by law enforcement and vigilantes. When we hear ‘I can’t breathe,’ we hear the voices of our children, parents, brothers, sisters, cousins. We hear our elders and ancestors. We hear ourselves, some future day.”

What’s all the fuss about? The Police have hardly done anything since they released that lame re-mix of “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” a few years ago.
Trevor Noah can always go back to his native South Africa, if this country is too damn oppressive for him.
And minorities and the poor, who call the police far more than rich celebrities and others do, will be hurt the most. That is true of all leftist policies, but, hey, if these holier-than-thou types feel good about themselves, that’s all that matters, right?
Here’s a novel idea.....
Stop breaking the law
Disband the police in Hollywood for 6 months and then start talking.

If Floyd and most blacks who die were not high on drugs,they would be alive and not do stupid things with the police. Being sober may also actually save their lives by being killed by the number one killer of blacks: OTHER blacks. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Noah is South African. Large parts of South Africa is lawless when the sun goes down.
