Gold and silver bullion coins with no numismatic (collector's value) are a good deal, though.
You might be able to find those with Trump's image on them, I'm not sure.
Numismatic coins (like ancient Roman gold coins) have been a good investment, but you have to know what you are doing. I don't, so I avoid them.
Bullion coins come from both government mints (including US Mint) and private mints. The private ones are referred to as "rounds" when they look like coins, the ones produced by governments are coins. Here are a few of my favorites (silver):
One Oz. Canadian coin:
Silver's spot price is $17.71 an oz. This coin costs $21.42 new from Kitco.
This 1 oz American bullion coin ("American Eagle") is $24.22. Quite a premium over buying the Canadian coin. (They mine a lot of silver in Canada).
Typical privately minted silver round. Here's the reverse:
This particular round is listed at $21.87. They tend to be a bit less than the Canadian Maple Leaf, but sometimes a bit more.
Discounts on all of these in Qty. 10 or more. They are frequently bought in plastic packages of 20. Aka: "tube".
Thanks for the LINKS, Forgiven_Sinner!
It’s always DARKEST before the DON. LOL
