And therein lies the problem. District Attorney has become a political position more than the chief prosecutor for a county.
I've heard of a few impeached judges who became County DA's after all the furor died down.
A black friend of mine told me she would not live in Atlanta as it is too Black. Ironic isn't it?
He is saying that these cases need to bypass the grand jury system because he probably believes a grand jury would not have indicted the cops. Especially if the officers in question had agreed to testify before the grand jury. (That might be problematic but maybe a wise tactic). But if the officers had been put in front of a grand jury and been allowed to explain everything, the grand jury would probably have returned a “No Bill.” That would have damaged the narrative.
