Gov. Gavin Newsoms administration is considering a statewide order to require the use of masks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, according to officials in several counties in contact with the state.
The discussions are occurring as many counties contemplate their own mask rules in response to spikes in coronavirus cases as businesses reopen.
The Democratic governor said at a Monday news conference that Californias hospitalizations, ICU admissions and positive test rates are stable. But the state is still closely monitoring counties whose numbers are more troubling than the statewide averages.

Yep - I’m on the MS Gulf Cast - Biloxi area - and go to a local causeway most mornings to watch the sun rise and enjoy walking along the water and watching the local birds.
I often pass some folks walking/running along the beach, with nobody near them, and wearing their masks....OTOH, the folks fishing are mask-free and enjoying each other’s company.
Also not odd to see someone at a light, windows up, and mask firmly in place.
