With the agreement of both sides, there is a sort of DMZ along the border line, with no weapons allowed. So they have regular fights with sticks and stones.

Hmmm...what will the Chinese do?
Blame Trump. Nothing is ever wrong and if it is, they are never to blame.

The goal isnt to die for your country, its to make the other guy die for his or something like that."The goal is not to die for your country but to make the other poor bastard die for his." ~ George S. Patton
Have that one memorized.

Saturday Night Live should do a skit where Indians and Chinese are beating the hell out of each other and suddenly, a FAT Chinese (or Indian) woman begins to sing and they all smile and shake hands and break it up.
Don’t forget the dancing. Both sides will begin a dance number.

Chinese CCTVs widely watched evening news broadcast made no mention of the border confrontation on Tuesday. Just guessing that the Chinese got their asses kicked in this rumble.
Good call on the Indians' part for getting reinforcements.

Better they throw rocks at each other than use nuclear weapons.

I don’t disagree with that.
I think it was the Knights of Malta who would disarm down to the level of their opponent’s weaponry before fighting.

Re: Galwan River
Well, we know which side of this argument Microsoft Bing (search engine) is on.
According to “Bing Maps,” the Galwan River is in CHINA!

“Guns couldve saved lives here.”
It is believed that more lives were taken with atlatl or tomahawks, than any other military weapon.
As the standoff distance increased from close combat to matchlock ...machinegun...
Fewer lives were lost in each engagement.

But they say, it was not a lack of stones that ended the stone age?

“War sure has regressed quite a bit”
One of my father’s WWII stories was about being sent behind German lines on patrol to ascertain the location of German positions. His patrol was walking along the edge of a treed area when a German patrol walked out of the trees just ahead.
Both patrols were doing the same thing, scouting each other’s positions. The two patrols looked at each other, then turned away and left. They had both accomplished their missions with no shots fired.
