I never heard of the "New Mexico Civil Guard" before, (although admittedly 'I don't get out much anymore' and most of the NM news I hear is via the NM ping list here). Wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of false flag operation to give Governorlissima Lujan an excuse to crack down on 'patriots'.

Looked like self defense. No idea what caused him to draw his gun in the middle of a mob, or if that was justified, but at the end there were several people on him, and he didn’t have much choice. Attacking a man with a gun is never a good idea.
I hope the injured person is one of the attackers, and not a bystander.

The mob knows if it can be destructive, aggressive, and demanding enough, pathetic Dem politicians will give them their every desire. They’ll be allowed to destroy historical artifacts and attack people and businesses to their heart’s content and still be called “peaceful protestors.”
The left would love to provoke a reaction that is even 1/25 as violent and destructive as what their side has done, so they can have an excuse to really start to crack down on the populace hardcore and to keep them frightened of the lawlessness and too intimidated by both the government and Democrat-backed mobs to stand up for themselves.
Take a note folks, the leftist mobs are going crazy destroying history, something that usually only happens when a country is conquered by a foreign army or within from an insurrection designed to obliterate the current country.

Here’s what I got. To Native Americans, Oñate is known for having ordered the right feet cut off of 24 captive tribal warriors following the murder of his nephew. The dispute came when Oñate’s men demanded food from the Acoma Pueblo. The Acoma needed the food for the coming winter and they fought Oñate’s men, killing his nephew. This dispute escalated and ended with 800-1000 Ácoma massacred in the siege of the pueblo, and the 500 survivors were put on trial and sentenced by Oñate. All men and women older than 12 were enslaved for 20 years. In addition, men older than 25 (24 individuals) had one foot amputated. This revenge earned him the hatred of him today.
Afterwards, he engaged in significant exploration expeditions which gained much valuable information about the region. After his last expedition, he was tried for his brutal treatment of the Ácoma; which banished him from the New Mexico territory. He returned to Spain where he was appointed the head of all mining inspectors in Spain.

The author changed what happened- there was no “struggle” in the crowd with someone brandishing a weapon, there was instead someone getting clobbered by a guy with a skateboard as a weapon...
