Two weeks ago, my neighborhood was one of many in the country that was looted.
Nearly every store assaulted, trashed, and emptied.
In some cases, the looters returned to the same store a dozen times – just to make sure they didn’t miss anything. One of those was across the street from my window, where my wife huddled alone, filming the rotating mob on her iPhone.
They were more than a mob – a collection of mobs really– but they were also well organized, determined, and had a specific taste for Balenciaga. They even returned to that store later in the week, tore down the plywood that covered the shattered glass – just to re-loot it again.
It reminded me of a guy who goes back to an ashtray to smoke old butts.

I’m glad I live in the land of no-name clothing without logos, sturdy hiking boots and John Deere caps. Maybe folks buy Eddie Bauer or Land’s End when they want to impress. TracFones are popular here.
I do know a lady who wears her diamond engagement ring to feed the chickens. I tell her she’s gonna have to sift the chicken poop if it slips off. Or slaughter one of her pets in order to clear out the gizzard.

I first “discovered” Greg Gutfeld on the Fox show “Red Eye.” It was a terrific show, until he left, then it went on for about a year. BTW, the best episodes had intros by Fox Newscaster and serious babe, Patti Ann Brown.
He’s quite good on “The Five” (though I rarely see it,) and his Saturday night show, “The Greg Gutfeld Show.”
