A Virginia sheriff has apologized to a black pastor who was arrested for pulling a gun on a group of white neighbors as they allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill him.

I thought initially it was the pastor dumping the fridge, so I thought “damn right they arrested him”.
But now, having read the story (I know, breaking FR cherished tradition) , I am appalled. I don’t know if racism was involved by the police, but if they heard any of the statements made by the peckerwoods, and the pastor claimed they continued harassing him, the cops should all be fired. Maybe it was just the cops focusing on the firearm, like moths to a flame, but it doesn’t look good for them.
At least now there is going to be an investigation. I hope they lean on everybody and pry out why they arrested the pastor; as the landowner, legal gun carrier, and outnumbered party.
frig still sounds like a slight slang for the f word. frig rhymes with trig. I had no clue wtf you were posting about. I know english is hard. but fridge is short for refrigerator. or say ice box. not frig as in frig-it. Im just trying to help your english skills.

There might have been a small shift towards Trump on economic reasons, not “Law ‘n’ order”. But soon’s that’s gone, people will go right back to tribal politics. And the Rats are working hard to kneecap the economy every day.
Trump will win or lose on the white vote. The upper midwest did not vote for him on civil rights grounds.

In North Carolina you will be prosecuted.
The theory is that if you were really afraid for your life, you would have fired.
I think that is stupid as it could cause one to fire when firing was not really the correct thing to do but NC defense law is full of traps.
Firing a warning shot is also frowned upon and will get you prosecuted.
Warning shots are a bad idea anyway...There are two possibilities, neither of which is predictable. They are: He will run (desirable) or he will shoot back (not desirable).
Hardly a “mob.” That black pastor could probably have knocked over 3 of those 5 losers with one swing of his fist.

I get your point. He had every right to pull his gun. I just think the Pastor’s phone language was exaggerated. It wasn’t as if he was being chased by a pack of white thugs with a noose.
