The statement says she “ingested” the drugs during sex.

Not clear if the drugs went to her stomach during oral sex, or if she claims the drugs were in her vagina when she gave her urine sample, or if the drugs entered her cervix and then circulated in her body.

Sounds bogus to me.

No explanation at all about why her boyfriend was taking performance enhancing drugs.

Do they enhance sexual performance?

I seem to recall that PEDs actually reduce sexual desire in men.

Very strange story - I do not believe it, but she has established reasonable doubt, so no punishment is the correct decision.

“Not clear if the drugs went to her stomach during oral sex, or if she claims the drugs were in her vagina when she gave her urine sample, or if the drugs entered her cervix and then circulated in her body.”

It’s simpler than that. Many drugs are easily absorbed across skin and other membranes, including the vaginal and rectal walls, and across the inner lining of the oral cavity (doesn’t have to go to the stomach to be absorbed, just under the tongue is well-absorbed for many drugs), and then the absorbed drugs enter the blood stream to then be detectable in blood or urine. Methamphetamine is frequently “used” via the rectum in certain sexual groups and can cause fatal overdoses that way. How much of any particular drug is in the ejaculate, and when absorbed in the “target” tissues is detectable in the target blood, is of course the issue as to the credibility of her claim. Otherwise, it is entirely possible and logical. And were you aware that, similarly, many drugs pass through breast milk to nursing infants, in significant quantities?

PEDs can enhance sexual performance. They can also hurt it if you do things incorrectly. The GW1516 (Cardarine) would most likely have a positive effect on sexual performance, just from the standpoint of it’s ability to enhance cardiovascular endurance. It wouldn’t have any effects on libido.

Letrozole, on the other hand, which is not a performance enhancer, could cause some sexual problems for a man if taken incorrectly. This could cause estrogen levels to become too low, which negatively affects both libido and performance. Letrozole is an ancillary that you’d take along side either a steroid cycle or testosterone.

This guy was probably running a lot of whatever he was doing and was probably well beyond replacement level testosterone. I say that because doctors generally prescribe Anastrozole or Exemestane for people with aromatizing issues on TRT. Those are usually the go-tos for bodybuilders on steroids as well. So, this guy was probably doing something a little more advanced.
