When I lived in Texas decades ago was when I learned about Juneteenth. It was a low key, respectful, respected celebration where I was living (Austin) at that time. Not anymore now that the race hustlers need to generate money and riots.

This begs the question ... what did obozo do on these days in the 8 years he occupied the [neutral color] House? I don’t recall empty suit, teleprompter in chief doing anything special to commemorate.

Since I have never heard of it, I really don’t know what anyone did special on this day...I never heard obozo mention anything like it...

I remember Juneteenth “festivities” in Oakland in the 90s, specifically at Lake Merritt. My experience is the same as yours: low-key, no violence. It had the air of a festival not a protest. I personally never saw anger at any of these events.
