I’m a Deputy and see clearly two sides. I see what he wrote an it’s mainly true. I also saw the actions of many officers during the lockdown. Law Enforcement can’t have it both ways. One problem is that the public in general never gets an accurate account what it’s like on the streets. It’s hard for middle America to accept there is a large part of our population that can only be dealt with,shall I say, anything but cordial. But there are police officers that don’t know when to turn that off.
I believe the quality and professionalism of cops have dropped over the years, simply because good people, with other options, didn’t want to be cops, because of all the PC crap that infiltrated Police Departments, because as Dirty Harry said, they wanted to be “Stylish”.
